Your story can continue here.
Bring your characters, world rules, and approved scenes into your next ChatGPT conversation.
1. Choose your story
Sign in to your workspace, select an existing project, or create one with a name you will recognize in ChatGPT. Continuity Pro or an active trial is required for story tools.
2. Connect Continuity
Before directory publication, install the Continuity plugin package supplied by the developer. For a developer connection, use the MCP address below and OAuth, then sign in with your own Continuity account and approve access.

After publication, find Continuity in the ChatGPT/Codex plugin directory, select it, and connect your account. A directory listing is not yet available.
3. Start naturally
“Use Continuity to resume my story [project name]. Retrieve its canon and latest checkpoint before drafting.”
“Keep concise checkpoints for this story when we finish a scene or pause. Keep unresolved ideas provisional, and ask before making new canon official.”
What gets preserved?
Canon holds facts you approve. Approved scenes hold summaries of accepted scenes. Checkpoints preserve story progress, open questions, and next steps separately from canon.
With your permission, ChatGPT can call checkpoint tools as part of the writing workflow. Tool calls and host approval settings still apply. Continuity cannot watch all chats, run when the assistant is idle, or guarantee a save before context loss. Ask “save a checkpoint now” before switching chats.
Manage or revoke connected applications. Disconnecting stops future authorized access; it does not delete saved stories or cancel billing.
